Floral. elegant. whimsical

The Gwendolyn is named after my Nana. She was the second woman for me to meet in life that has shaped me to my core, which is why she is featured next. She is sure of herself and her style, has a quick wit, and she knows how to advocate for herself. Nana absolutely loves spending time outside or in her Texas garden, which is why I wanted to feature wildflowers for her designs. I wanted the flowers to feel like they were growing up from the edges of the cards into the text. Bringing to mind the beautiful, unpredictable, and ever-changing notion of love.
My Nana was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, so she spends a little less time on her own and in her garden, but she is still incredibly sure of who she is, loves to laugh, and loves to talk all things nature with me. It’s this reminder that, like flowers and gardens, we are always changing and the world around us might be unpredictable, but the affection and relationships we have with our loved ones always finds new ways to bloom.
